She’s a Wentz now.. a MOM soon!
Ashlee Simpson has officially changed her name to Ashlee Wentz now that she is married to Fall out boy’s, Pete Wentz. And the pair have confirmed that they are expecting a baby!
Perhaps the Wentz’s read Starzlife, because yesterday I asked them to please confirm the baby. Hours later on Pete’s website www.friendsorenemies.com it was confirmed saying
“While many have speculated about this, we wanted to wait until after the first trimester to officially confirm that we are expecting our first child. This is truly the most joyous time in our lives and we are excited to share the happy news and start our family.”

As for Simpsons decision to change her name to Wentz, Pete originally said that the decision was up to Ashlee being that she already has an established career under the name Ashlee Simpson, but Ash decided that she wanted to honor her husband by doing the traditional thing and taking on his last name.
She will still be known as Ashlee Simpson-Wentz for her professional career, but to her friends and family, it’s Mrs. Wentz.
Ashlee thinks that “it’s something that a woman should do when they’re marrying a man. It’s a tradition that I think is a great tradition.”
Pete claims he had no role in the changing of her name. He says the decision was solely hers. Says Pete; “These decisions with Ashlee and her name are all completely up to Ashlee. I want her to do these kinds of things the way she wants to do them.”
