John McCain’s team is claiming that presidential opponent Barack Obama is a bigger celebrity than Britney Spears, and Paris Hilton! Check it out in McCain’s latest campaign ad after this.
US is reporting that in the latest attack ad by the McCain Campaign, Barack Obama is called “the biggest celebrity in the world,” shown in a montage featuring Britney Spears and Paris Hilton. The republican’s ask “…but is he ready to lead.”
On a conference call with reporters, Rick Davis, McCain campaign manager, had this to say;
“What we decided to do is find the top three international celebrities in the world, and I would say from our indications, Britney and Paris came in second and third.
“It is not our campaign that is trying to make him into an international celebrity,” Davis added. “It’s his campaign… I don’t know Paris Hilton and Britney Spears but they are international celebrities, so, you know, apples to apples.”
Obama’s people responded with:
“On a day when major news organizations across the country are taking Senator McCain to task for a steady stream of false, negative attacks, his campaign has launched yet another.”
This election is shaping up to be like an episode of The Hills, which McCain claims to never miss.
