Bamboo Banger Baby!
Before her new hit single Paper Planes blew up on radio waves M.I.A. announced her retirement from music.
Well looks like she had a motive! M.I.A. is going to be and M.O.M.
The British singer showed up with a pretty huge baby belly for a performance at the Diesel XXX event in Brooklyn, New York this past weekend putting to rest the rumors that she might or might not be.
She then spoke with Pitchfork Media and told them;
“When I found out I was pregnant and ‘Paper Planes’ was in the iTunes top 10, it seemed like the whole world was reshuffled in one week, and all my plans went out the window. I’ve got two kids, that’s what it feels like. And that’s the lesson – you can’t make plans.”
M.I.A. is engaged to Ben Brewer who is the lead singer of The Exit, and wants her fans to know she did it right, saying; “I got engaged first, then I got pregnant, kids.”
She also tells Pitchfork that she’s been in the studio working on tracks to a new album, a follow-up to 2007′s Kala.
Retirement, re-shmirement.
