Giving Back.
In front of thousands of New York Mets fans, Forbes Magazine #677 world’s billionaire for 2008, Stewart Rahr, recently presented a check for $100,000 to New York Mets third baseman David Wright on behalf of the David Wright Foundation.
What started as a challenge from Rahr to Wright for the Mets to play harder this past season, ends with $100,000 towards helping the David Wright Foundation provide aid and assistance toward the health, emotional development, and education for children in need.
Rahr says had the mets won it all, his contribution would have been $250,000,
This charitable act also happens on the heels of Rahrs contribution of $1 million dollars to Petra Nemcova at her Happy Hearts event in November.
