Mega box office success has landed Will Smith another honor.
Smith was voted the star who generated the most box office revenue for theaters in an annual survey by Quigley Publishing Co. Only the second black actor ever to be voted to this title.
His superhero hit Hancock hit hard banking 248 million in box office bucks, and his new movie, 7 pounds, though only been open for a couple weeks, has produced a lackluster 39 million and isn’t getting the usual Smith reviews.
I don’t think it will hold Will Smith down though, I think the fire is going to burn through 2009.
