Howie Terrified After Heart Procedure.
Howie Mandel was recently released from a Toronto hospital and is speaking out about a visit to the ER he calls “Terrifying.”
He says in an interview, “They put you totally out, and they take those defibrillators, and they yell ‘Clear! They shock you, and your heart goes back to a normal rhythm.”
53-year-old Mandel adds that the doctors told him his heart was strong, and that he didn’t have a heart attack, though the experience left him a bit shook up.
“I was terrified because I try to stay healthy, I work out, I eat well,” he said. “To be in a public lobby of a hotel and start to feel dizzy and then have no memory after that — and to wake up in an ambulance — is terrifying.”
Howie has since been back to work shooting his new show, Howie Do It, and will see a doc this weekend for a check up.
