GA. Drops Drug Charges Against Lil’ Wayne.
A judge in Georgia has dropped felony drug charges against rapper Lil’ Wayne.
Wayne was nabbed outside of a hotel near Atlanta in August 2006 after police found unmarked bottles containing hydrocodone and a generic form of Xanax, along with a small amount of marijuana.
Wayne’s attorney had claimed that the room was not the room in which the rapper was staying. The judge granted the rappers request to surpress on the basis of an illegal search.
LW isn’t out of the clear yet though, he still faces a 2008 drug charge in Arizona, and a 2007 weapons charge in New York.
