Rapper TI was sentenced to a year and a day in prison this morning on federal weapons charges, but he will have between 30 and 60 days to start his sentence.
The rapper, real name Clifford Harris told the courtroom, “Today I would like to say thank you to some, and apologize to all,” the rapper told U.S. District Judge Charles Pannell Jr. at sentencing. “Everything I learned was through trial and errorr. I’ve learned lessons in my life to put in my music so people won’t make the same mistakes as I.”
Along with the deferred 366 day sentence, Harris will face three years of supervised release, but as of late he seems to have turned his life around and learned from his mistakes.
