Gossip Girl to Prevent Chace Crawford from Footloose Remake.

Fans are going crazy over the fact that Chace Crawford will be the perfect to fill the void that Zac Efron left when he dropped out  of the remake of the 1980′s film, Footloose, but there is a slight chance that scheduling conflicts could prevent this from happening.

Apparently, his contract with Gossip Girl would require him to be filming the CW televsion show around the same time that they would be filming for the movie, which is slated for a summer 2010 release date.

Crawford is reportedly so into reprising Kevin Bacon’s role from the classic film, that he’s going to hire one of the most powerful lawyers in town to help hammar out an agreement so that he can do both.

If he’s smart he’d just do the movie, they already barely show him any love on Gossip Girl anyways!
