Jay Leno’s final Tonight Show will air on May 29th and he’s calling on his replacement to be his final guest.
Conan O’brien will take over for Leno after a 17 year run on the show, and will come face to face with Jay on the couch of his new show.
Also on the final show will be a performance by James Taylor, whom Jay considers one of his favorite artists.
The show will feature a tribute to Jay’s 17 years, and he says there’s also some surprises in store.
“I have something really unusual and different planned something really out of left field that we’re going to end on. It’s something really personal,” Leno said, and has to do with the show and its staff. “I think it will make people smile.”
Jay will then enjoy a nice vacation until he returns to TV in a new 10PM time slot each night on NBC this fall.
