Chace Crawford Confirmed for Footloose.
All the chatter can finally be put to rest. Chace Crawford has been officially confirmed to reprise the role of Ren McCormack as made famous by Kevin Bacon in 1984′s Footloose.
Paramount announced the news officially yesterday, and the film will be directed by High School Musical coreographer Kenny Ortega.
Crawford was in contract negotiations for a while, but had to work out something that would not conflict with his Gossip Girl schedule.
