Sigourney Weaver Out From Ghostbusters Sequel

It’s been 20 years since Ghostbusters II, and it was hoped that everyone from the original films would be back for the third installment, but seems as if that will not be the case.
All of the main pieces to the puzzle will be back, including Dan Akroyd, Billy Murray, Harold Ramis, and Ernie Hudson, but the films darling Dana Barrett will be left out of the new film.
In a recent interview, Sigourney Weaver told TVSquad.com; “I think they’re trying to create something new completely with the ‘Ghostbusters’, although I know Bill is in it. I don’t expect to have anything to do with it, although I wish them well.”
The latest rumor is that The guys will be in the film to pass the torch on to a new group of busters, all of which will be female.
Not sure about switching the whole formula to an all female team, and feel that maybe one female in the group would be accepted by the fans more, but we shall see.
Bottom line is, this movie should feature Sigourney, and Rick Moranis no matter what.
Ghostbusters 3 is projected to start filming later this year.
