Johnny Depp Can and Will Literally Play Anyone

Johnny Depp absolutely refuses to be typecast – he’s played a flamboyant pirate, a flamboyant chocolate factory owner, a flamboyant film director (Ed Wood) and flamboyant tea enthusiasts (Alice in Wonderland). Okay, so Depp’s got a fetish for over-the-top characters. But there’s still one flamboyant role he hasn’t played yet. He toldthe one role he hasn’t played yet that he’d love to.
“My dream role would be to play music legend Carol Channing in a biopic of her life,” he told U.K.’s The Mirror. “I love her, I really do. She’s amazing. With all the digital technology these days, I could probably pull it off.”
What could be more disturbing than that? “I’d have a go at playing a 12-year-old girl if they asked me to.”
Hey, if Tom Hanks can play a 12 year-old boy, Santa and a vagrant all in one movie (The Polar Express), then Johnny Depp can do whatever he damn well pleases! But that little girl better be written sassy as all hell, mmmkay.
