‘This Is It’ To Hit Theaters
Michael Jackson‘s final concert tour, ‘This Is It‘ has a release date.
‘This Is It,’ the singer’s tragic comeback tour hits theaters worldwide on October 15 and will run for only two weeks.
Here’s what we didn’t know: The film won’t only show the singer’s entire concert (sources says there is over 500 hours of full rehearsal footage that was pieced together) but also show the singer backstage and preparing for his final tour.
Says director, Kenny Ortega:
“This film is Michael’s gift to his fans. It’s a very private, exclusive look into a creative genius’s world. With this film, we get a rare portrait of Michael as he prepares for his final curtain call and what I believe was going to be his master work.”
Master work? Some folks will say anything to shuck a ticket. We think Michael’s “master work” was, sadly, years behind him.
