Judge Hands Out Chris Brown’s Sentence

Chris Brown was sentenced today for the February assault of his ex Rihanna. Brown will have to perform 1,400 hours of “labor-oriented service” (not just some measly community outreach), and will be on probation for 5 years.
In addition, Brown will not be able to come within 50 yards of Rihanna for 5 years, or within 10 yards if they end up at the same music event. Although where Rihanna’s career is going, and Chris Brown’s career is going, the only way I can see them at the same event is if Brown ends up valeting at the BET Awards.
At the sentencing hearing additional details concerning the assault were released- including the fact that two incidents of domestic violence had occurred before the infamous blow-out. Brown had thrown Rihanna against a wall after she slapped him, and in another incident Brown broke the windows of a loaned Range Rover in Barbados.
Brown will also need to undergo domestic violence counseling.
