Footloose Remake Loses Director
Could this be another bump in the road for the remake of Footloose?
They already lost Zac Efron for Chace Crawford, and now a director.
Kenny Ortega, who was going to be putting the film together.
It’s being reported by Ortega’s people that he is just not ready to jump right in to a new film after doing Michael Jackson’s “This is it” documentary, but there’s also word floating around that he ditched the project after butting heads with Paramount over budget and creative differences.
In a statement from camp Ortega; “Coming off the extraordinary project, Michael Jackson’s This is It, director Kenny Ortega has decided it is premature for him to commit to his next film and will not be moving forward with Footloose as previously reported.”
So what’s the real deal here Kenny? Not sure we’re buying the whole MJ excuse…
