Lord Of The Rings director Peter Jackson’s long-awaited new movie ‘The Lovely Bones‘ is getting some bone-curdling reviews.
The movie, about a murdered young girl’s view of her dysfunctional family post-grizzly murder, recently previewed to some blood-hungry critics. Here’s what they’re saying:
Variety:
“The director has indulged his whims to create constantly shifting backdrops depicting an afterlife evocative of The Sound of Music or The Wizard of Oz one moment, The Little Prince or Teletubbies the next.”
The Hollywood Reporter:
“Jackson has turned Alice Sebold’s magical otherworldly tale into a simple Law and Order-like thriller, while conceding it works okay on that level.”
