Rosie Has Meredith Baxter’s Back
Say anything you like about Rosie O’Donnell but one thing’s true: Sister has another sister’s back.
The outspoken former daytime talk show host showed her support to recent out lesbian, Lifetime star Meredith Baxter via OK magazine:
“I called her up and told her she was fantastic and congratulations and she did really well and that I was proud of her.”
“We had a little chat, and it was lovely, because I fell in love with her in 1972 with Bridget Loves Bernie. An Irish and a Jewish — that was a big deal back then. It was too controversial for more than one season. And then I loved her on Family Ties. And I love her still. I think she’s great.”
And what did Rosie have to say about outing celebrities?
“I think it’s absurd and ridiculous. In today’s Internet era, it’s very impossible to have a private life stay private if you’re famous in any way.”
