Ex-Battered Wives Are Humorless
Did you happen to catch the SNL skit satirizing Tiger Woods’ marital infidelities and his feisty wife’s reaction to them? Here:
Hahaha a little, right? It’s mildly funny because it’s his wife that’s hitting him, but he keeps pretending it’s something else. The National Coalition Against Domestic Violence has now launched a media campaign to express their displeasure with the skit. Here’s their executive director Rita Smith, who must be an awesome party guest:
“There’s nothing funny about this story, particularly if violence was part of the events that took place … I hope that SNL refrains from using this kind of skit in the future as it diminishes people’s support for victims of domestic violence.”
Did you see the part at the end of the sketch when the golf club was wrapped oh-so-goofily around Tiger’s head? It’s like if the Crossbow Accident Prevention Coalition were to publicly condemn Steve Martin. Here’s how the TMZ commentariat is reacting to Rita:

INSTEAD OF TRIPPING OVER SOME TV SHOW. GO SAVE SOME TEENS!
USE YOUR TIME TO TEACH PARENTS TO RAISE SMART ADULTS THAT WOULDNT STAY OR DATE A VIOLENT PERSON.
ALSO TO RAISE CHILDREN THAT RESPECT ONE ANOTHER AND LOSE THE PHRASE KIDS WILL BE KIDS WHEN THEY PUT HANDS ON EACH OTHER.
