Courtney Love has lost custody of her daughter, Francis Bean Cobain, for the second time. Francis Bean Cobain is 17. How far gone do you have to be for the court to take away your custody of someone who won’t need it in eight months anyway? It’s as if child protective services, after learning that Courtney Love probably did heroin while pregnant, said, “We’re going to let this slide. But you only get 16,000 more chances.”
