The Midnight Show is a sketch and video group based out of the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater in Los Angeles. They’re great. Part of what makes their videos funny is that they’re well-written and performed, and the other part is that they have really good production values. I’m not saying good production values are funny, but I am saying poor production values are distracting. Seriously, if you want to get into the viral video game, get a decent goddamn camera and find a director. Anything shot with that little embedded camera that comes on a Mac screen is not funny. Except for Chris Crocker! Oh man, he’s such a consistently hysterical reminder of how cruel hormones can be.
