Kanye West: Banned or NOT from Hope For Haiti Now Telethon?

So was Kanye West invited or not invited to Friday’s Hope for Haiti Now telethon?

A source told Popeater this morning that Kanye West was banned from the event, because he makes everything about himself and tries to steal the spotlight.   For instance, his infamous “George Bush doesn’t care about black people” outburst during a Hurricane Katrina relief telethon, and the now legendary interruption of Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech at the 2009 VMAs.

Rightfully so, it wouldn’t be a stretch for the organizers of this event to want to keep Kanye far away.

But a rep for MTV is singing a different tune, telling UsMagazine.com; “That’s absolutely not true. We DID reach out to Kanye.”

According to that source, West just failed to RSVP.

We say ban him.  What the heck.

Among those who will be present for tomorrow night’s 2 hour event;  President Bill Clinton, Brad Pitt, Ben Stiller, Chris Rock, Clint Eastwood, Leonardo DiCaprio, Denzel Washington, Halle Berry, Jon Stewart, Will Smith with Muhammad Ali, Robert Pattinson, Tom Hanks and more.

The perofrmers: Madonna, Beyonce, Wyclef Jean, Bruce Springsteen, Jennifer Hudson, Mary J. Blige, Shakira, Sting, Alicia Keys, Christina Aguilera, Dave Matthews, John Legend, Justin Timberlake, Sheryl Crow, Taylor Swift, Keith Urban, Kid Rock, Sheryl Crow, Coldplay, Bono, The Edge, Jay-Z and Rihanna.
