Dakota Fanning Fronts LA Band to Prepare For Runaways

Unlike some actresses who get cast in musical roles, Dakota Fanning has had no musical background.  Especially as a rock star!!

So how did Dakota prepare for her role as Cherrie Currie in The Runaways?

She fronted an LA based rock band!

Fanning stood in as the singer for The Living Things while trying to get comfortable performing in front of a crowd.  She’d never sang in front of people before, but by the end was even inviting her family over for rehearsals.
