Hip Hop Gone Soft: Lloyd Banks Apologizes to Murder Inc.
Is it a sign of the times, or is hip hop getting soft?
One of the 90′s most notorious feuds (that didn’t end in death for anyone) was the G-Unit vs. Murder Inc.
G-Unit notoriously took aim at Ja Rule’s camp, with Ashanti being the only female involved. For years she was compared to a man, and constantly got her side burns talked about. ( She did have them!)
Now one of the G-Unit boys is having a change of heart, Lloyd Banks has apologized to Ashanti, telling BET:
“I had a chance to talk to Ashanti over the telephone. I mean, my reasoning for apologizing, I just felt like I should. Even at the time when we were going back and forth in that feud with Murder Inc., she wasn’t speaking. She wasn’t throwing shots or anything. I think if you’re a part of the game then you should get played.”
Someone’s got a crush!
