Christina Aguilera was once rumored to be in contention for a judges spot on ‘The X Factor’ and has performed on all of Simon Cowell’s television programs at one point or another, but after Aguilera flubbed some lyrics to the National Anthem at the Super Bowl last Sunday, things may have changed.
During an interview with British television, Cowell said that Aguilera’s performance last sunday “sounded like 100,000 people in the stadium just sat on a cat.”
A little more light hearted, Cowell added; “This is what happens when you perform in front of an audience, even to someone as experienced as Christina. You can get it wrong. But that was bad.”
It was recently revealed that Cowell’s US X-Factor, which will premiere this year on FOX will have a prize of $5 million dollars for the winner, the largest game show prize in Television history.
