Simon Cowell Being Sued By X Factor Hopefuls
Two men who auditioned for Simon Cowell’s US version of ‘The X Factor’ are suing the famous judge over mental anguish caused by their audition.
Yes, you read that right.
Hyman Marks, 86, and his 54-year-old son Stephen are suing Cowell over claims their audition was ruined after they were forced to film behind the scenes footage multiple times before auditioning. The suit claims, the hopefuls were repeatedly made to walk from their car into the Bank United Center in Miami, Florida as cameramen shot from different angles. When it was time for the men to finally face the judges, the father/son duo claim they were too tired to impress.
Their lawsuit, obtained by TheWrap.com, states, “As a result of this grueling and discriminatory physical and mental exertion, the judges and the audience never got to see the real Hy Marks and Stephen Marks that day.”
The Marks men are suing Fox TV executives and Simon Cowell for negligence, fraudulence of representation, and mental anguish.
They also want a chance to re-audition.
Good luck with that one, men.
