Bellamy Brothers Apologize to Britney Spears Over Plagiarism Accusations

Britney Spears is off the hook, after 70’s country stars ‘The Bellamy Brothers’ have apologized to the singer and her production team for plagiarism accusations.

‘The Bellamy Brothers’ accused Spears of ripping off their 1979 track, ‘If I Said You Had a Beautiful Body Would You Hold It Against Me,’  For her hit single, ‘Hold it Against Me.’

Dr. Luke, who produced the track for Britney had originally fired back a defamation suit against the Bellamy Brothers, but has dropped the suit after an apology from the Bellamys.

In a statement to TMZ they explain: “The Bellamy Brothers apologize to Dr. Luke and Max Martin for the Bellamys’ public statements and any false impressions suggested by the statements on their website that Dr. Luke and Max Martin copy the works of others.”
