Jim Carrey To Reprise Role in ‘Bruce Almighty’ Sequel?

Jim Carrey is getting back into the religious mode… To film a Bruce Almighty sequel.

In the first film, which took in nearly $500 million while getting mixed reviews, Carrey played Bruce Nolan, a man whose questions about god earned him a day in the life of the man upstairs. (Played by Morgan Freeman)

The film had a semi sequel, where Carrey’s  ‘Bruce’ nemesis Evan Baxter, played by Steve Carrell, became Noah and built an arc to help avoid the city’s big flood.

Slash Films is reporting that screenwriters Jarrad Paul and Andrew Mogel are penning the sequel to ‘Bruce’ and although Carrey is not signed on yet, he will be offered the lead.

Looking forward to Bruce 2?
