Nicollette Sheridan’s ‘Desperate Housewives’ Trial Under Way

Nicollette Sheridan’s legal battle with Desperate Housewives creator Marc Cherry has kicked off in a Los Angeles court room.

The former DH actress filed a $20 million lawsuit against Cherry in back in 2010, alleging that he slapped her in the face after she expressed an opinion about a script he had written, as well as killingĀ  off her character when she complained to producers.

Sheridan, who played sexy real estate dealer Edit Britt in the series, also sued Cherry over claims of sexual and gender harassment and assault, although she has since dropped those accusations.

The actress is seeking compensation for wrongful termination and battery and is entitled to receive only one year’s salary in damages, amounting up to around $4 million, according to a report in ‘The Hollywood Reporter.’

It’s going to be just like an episode of ‘Desperate Housewives’ as well when Sheridan is forced to square off against her former co-stars, Eva Longoria, Marcia Cross, Teri Hatcher, and Felicity Huffman, when they are all called to the witness stand by the defense.
