Singer Gotye has made some pretty interesting comments about the cover of his song from FOX’s hit TV series ‘Glee.’
Glee star Darrin Criss and guest star Matt Bomer performed Gotye’s hit ‘Somebody That I Used To Know,’ on an episode earlier this month, and finally the singer is speaking out about the cover.
Unlike most celebrities, who give praise and excitement for the Glee covers of their songs, Gotye insists the cast’s rendition sounds “dinky and wrong.”
He tells Australia’s The Sunday Mail, “They did such a faithful arrangement of the instruments but the vocals were that pop Glee style, ultra dry, sounded pretty tuned and the rock has no real sense, like it’s playing to you from a cardboard box. It made it sound dinky and wrong.”
