Lady Gaga’s going to shock the music world with the release of her new album, ARTPOP, by releasing it as an app on mobile platforms.
Gaga took to her Little Monsters site to share some new plans for her upcoming release, set for the spring.
She writes; “I’m excited to tell you all that ARTPOP is going to be a multimedia experience that comes in different forms. The most major way to fully immerse yourself in ARTPOP is through the app…
“You inspired me to create something that communicated with images, because you do, you communicate with me and each other. I’m hoping you will all continue to grow together and stay connected through your creativity.”
The app will feature bonus content, including videos, games, extra tracks, and even chat options.
Lady Gaga will also release ARTPOP in physical and digital formats, for those without smart phones, and for those who want to be able to listen in other places than on their phone.
