A&E Cancels ‘Dog The Bounty Hunter’

After eight seasons on the air and over 250 episodes, A&E  has canceled ‘Dog The Bounty Hunter.’ According to multiple sources, the network and Duane “Dog” Chapman were having “creative differences” over season nine, and the two sides were unable to meet in the middle. ‘Dog’ was easily the show that got A&E’s reality department off the ground, and the Chapman family was one of TV’s most interesting bunches.  It will be sad to...

A&E Cancels The Hasselhoffs: Hasselhoff Should Head to Food Network

A&E has canceled it’s series The Hasselhoffs after only airing two viewerless episodes. Apparently the networked figured out really quickly that the reality show that follows the life of David Hasselhoff and his daughters, has nothing to do with Arts and/or Entertainment so A&E pulled the plug.  We would love to see his next move be a Food Network show where The Hoff eats foods that start with the letter H off the floor. Episode 1: Humus

A&E Acquires Lifetime, This Calls for an Intervention Marathon

A&E has officially acquired Lifetime television. As far as I can tell A&E plays nothing but Intervention and re-runs of CSI: Miami. Lifetime airs ridiculous movies about how everyone and everything is plotting against women. Lifetime could air a movie about a single mom struggling to raise her children alone after their father abandons them due to his increasing alcoholism, then on A&E they air an Intervention episode on alcoholism. Nice, right? Feel free to set me up as head of programming. Unfortunately,...

Tony Danza, best known for playing Tony on Taxi and Tony on Who’s the Boss? is working with A&E on a reality show which would have him teaching a 10th grade English class. The show, called Teach, is still waiting for approval from the Philadelphia school board to continue. Danza would be co-teaching with a competent, non-D List celebs instructor in a public school classroom in Philly. The school district would receive $3,500 per episode, plus the final say in what gets edited out. Mayor...
