According to the new Nielson/Soundscan charts, Rihanna is the most downloaded artist of 2011. Officials at the charts have revealed her sales stood at more than 47.5 million digital downloads at the end of 2011. That’s a lot of downloads! Coming in second, was The Black Eyed Peas with 42.4 million downloads. The Black Eyed Peas will be taking a break thismcoming year. Sorry for the bad news Peas fans, but Will I Am confirmed the news on his Twitter.com page saying: “The @Bep will take a break after the beginning…just like we did from monkey business to the e.n.d…but it doesn’t mean we stop creating.” This will be the second hiatus the Peas have taken, so don’t count them out. Expect solo projects!
