Sad news.   American Idol 7 winner David Cooks brother, Adam, who has been battling brain cancer for several years passed away early this morning. Adam was fortunate enough to visit LA and watch his brother win the American Idol cown last year, and David always honored his 36 year old brother by wearing the initials “AC” on his clothes, or guitar. Our thoughts with the whole Cook family!

Sort of… The latest American Idol is about to embark on his first solo tour, which seems to be pretty much a college campus tour. David Cook will set sail on February 13th at Florida State University and close things off on April 25 at the University of Oklahoma. DC seems to be avoiding the west coast though!  We’ll just have to catch him when he comes back to perform on this season of American Idol. Happy birthday David Cook, you just had the best year ever! Cookie’s first record just sold 500,000 copies and has spent a couple weeks in the top 10. David turns 26 today. Honorable mention: Jonah Hill celebrates his 25th today as well. He’s not doing too bad for himself either. Happy 25 Jonah.

American Idol season 7 winner David Cook has finally set a release date for his debut album. The Cookies will be able to pick up the first album of their Idol just in time for the holidays, November 18th. Cook has been touring with the AI top 10 all summer long so it’s wild that he found time to squeeze out an album during all the madness.
