We’re pretty sure Madonna was initially drawn to the singing because of the warm up scale me-me-me-me. This is the same part of the pop princess that drove her decorating decisions for her new gym Hard Candy Fitness.  The walls are plastered floor to ceiling with images of the Material Girl. The first of several Hard Candy Gyms being rolled out worldwide opened in Mexico City this week.

Madonna has partnered with one of the founders of 24 Hour Fitness to open her own gym chain called Hard Candy Fitness Centers. The first will be opening next month in Mexico City with plans to then roll out 10 more across the globe. Countries such as Russia, Brazil and Argentina have been named for future locations, absent from the list was the US.

Madonna Set to Appeal Adoption Rejection on May 4.

Madonna will be back in Malawi on May 4th to appeal the judges decision to reject her adoption of a little orphan girl named Mercy. Last month, the decision was made to not let Madonna take young Mercy back to the US with her over some technicality issues. Madonna has been planning her appeal ever since. Why would a judge ever prevent a child with horrible living situation the right of moving into a wealthy stable environment?

Malawi Court Rejects Madonna Adoption.

A judge in Malawi has declined Madonna’s request to adopt a little girl, Mercy James, this morning after the pop star has been in the country for a week shmoozing the locals in hopes of taking the little girl back home with her this weekend. The judges decision was based on the law that a perspective adoptive parent must live in Malawi for 18 months before being able to take a child home. Madonna is officially headed to Malawi this weekend to adopt a baby girl according to an official from the Ministry of Women and Child Welfare. “We are expecting her this weekend,” says the source. Apparently the papers have been filed through Madonna’s charity in Malawi and everything is set to go through this weekend. The newly divorced Material Girl will be getting a little sister for her first adopted Malawian child, David Banda.

Madonna is going to be hitting the road once again on her ‘Sticky and Sweet’ tour according to reports. Madge broke all kinds of  tour records on her 2008 jaunt, including highest grossing tour for a solo artist ever, bringing in over 280-million-dollars. The continuation tour for summer 2009 is supposidly going to hit the locations that were missed the first time around.
