So it was a 4 day holiday weekend in which the Hannah Montana movie premiered, so how did it fare?  Smash hit?  Flop? Survivor? Well, contrary to what I would have expected the film only brought in $34 million dollars. A far cry from Last weeks Fast & Furious opening which brought in $72 Million. The bright side though, is that $34 million was the second highest Easter weekend opening EVER, behind 2006′s Scary Movie 4. Apparently it’s Easter Weekend that just doesn’t do well...

Sony Pictures will be releasing a film about Barack Obama to theaters sometime in the near future. Tho this one will be a documentary. Sony aquired the rights to the HBO documentary, which is titled ‘By the People: The Election of Barack Obama,’ and will distribute it to theaters around the country.
