NBC has a plan in the works that would bring Rainn Wilson’s character from ‘The Office’ to his own spin-off series. The show would center around Dwight Schrute, and his family beet farm according to the reports from Deadline, and would tentatively launch in 2013. NBC is going big for Betty White’s 90th birthday! On January 16th, the network will pay tribute to White with Betty White’s 90th Birthday: A Tribute to America’s Golden Girl.   The tribute will air from 8:00 to 9:30  and be followed by a sneak peek of her new hidden camera show titled “Off Their Rockers.” The new show will feature Betty sending senior citizens on the streets to prank the the younger generation. Courteney Cox and David Arquette’s separation has been so amicable, that they are about to turn it into a TV show. NBC has picked up the rights to a script written by a couple members of Cox and Arquette’s Coquette Productions called “Ten Years,” which chronicles the relationships of a couple who split after ten years of being together. Cox and Arquette, who split up after eleven years of marriage,  will produce the project.

Television injustice at it’s best. NBC has decided to cancel “The Playboy Club” after just three episodes, while they have subsequently decided to pick up ‘Whitney’ for a full season. After only 3.4 million viewers for Monday night’s 3rd episode of “The Playboy Club,” the network decided rather than even shipping it off to another night, that they would just cancel it all together. The Voice will be tapping into a most valuable time slot for the premiere of it’s second season on NBC. The show will kick off following the 2012 Super Bowl. The date will be Sunday February 5, 2012, with a tentative time slot of 10:00-11:00PM EST. The show will also continue it’s premiere on the following Monday night at the 8-10 time slot. Parents Television Council Slams NBC’s ‘Playboy Club’

The Parents Television Council seems to have dropped their beef with Rihanna’s music video and shifted their concern to network television.
