No Doubt returned on the Today Show this morning playing three of their classic hits in anticipation of their upcoming summer tour. The band played Spiderwebs, Don’t Speak, and It’s My Life, and they seem to have not lost a step since taking a break many many years ago! Just a little bit of fun No Doubt info.  When the band appears on Gossip Girl during an episode which is set to air on May 11th, they won’t be playing a television version of themselves, they’ll be playing a fictional band. Their name… Snowed Out. Pretty clever!  The band is getting back together for the first time in years for a new album and concert tour. No Doubt to Tour This Summer!

No Doubt finally announced officially that they’d be going out on tour this summer. Gwen Stefani recently revealed, “The whole reason for going on this tour was to have fun, try on all our favorite songs again and to get inspired to make new music. It feels good to be all together again.” Dates and venues have yet to be announced, but No Doubt will be joined on the road by the Hayley Williams fronted band, Paramore.

No Doubt it hard at work on a new CD, but they’ll be pushing back it’s release until 2010. The reason for the push back is so that they can concentrate on their spring/summer 2009 tour. So the bad news is that you’re going to have to wait through a year of No Doubt fever before their new disc comes out, but the good news is that when they tour this spring/summer they will have more room to play the classics and will probably only play a few new songs.
