A judge in Connecticut cleared the way for Gay marriage in the state this morning, by giving same sex couples  the same rights to wed as straight couples already have. This decision comes after the state law which banned gay marriage was successfully challenged by just eight couples! Connecticut has honored civil unions since 2005, but now it becomes one of only two states to permit same sex marriages at the moment, along with Massachusetts, since the Yes on 8 campaign ripped the rights and equality...

Samantha Ronson brought up a point that I hadn’t thought about yet on her Myspace Blog, and I must say for once I completely agree with her! Sam says; 2 steps forward….. 2 steps back i guess people care more about farm animals than they do their fellow man, that’s really sad to me. yes, i am glad that the chickens will have more room and better conditions as they wait to die, but i just think it’s frightening that people show more compassion for tomorrow’s dinner...

More than 3,000 protesters joined up in Hollywood last night to protest the passing of Prop 8 which puts a ban on gay marriage in the state of California. For the most part, the protest was completely peaceful as the groups of protesters marched peacefully throughout the city but as always, there’s got to be a few bad seeds. 7 people total were arrested which makes for a pretty good night when you’re talking about 3000+ people. Supporters of Yes on 8 prevailed last night banning gay marriage in the state of California. It’s sad that there is so much discrimination still going on during a time when a black man and a woman were both prepared last night to celebrate becoming President or Vice President. The measure passed 52% to 48% outlawing same sex couples in the state of California to marry. Measures in Arizona, Arkansas, and Florida which would have given same sex couples the right to marry on last nights ballots...
