Jersey Shore debuted to huge numbers on MTV last night, with 8.5 million viewers according to one of the shows stars. Snooki posted to her Twitter this morning: 8.5 MILLION VIEWERS LAST NIGHT FOR JERSEY SHORE !!!!!! Love you guys!!! Did you watch the episode?  We thought it was pretty good, however part of us would choose Angelina over the gremlen new girl, Deena, any day.

Jennifer Love Hewitt did a little celebratory shopping in Los Angeles this week. What’s she celebrating?  Only the fact that her prostitute movie brought in massive ratings! The Client List was watched by 3.9 million viewers , which ranks as the number two original movie to be shown on cable this year. Guess people are trying to get their Simon Cowell fix while they know they can, because this time next year, American Idol will be facing brand new challenges. Ratings for the shows third episode were up 33% from last year.  Also, Idol crushed all of it’s Tuesday night competitors! Sad to know that one man has the ability to carry or deflate a show, but it’s reality.  Enjoy your Idol now, because there’s a chance that next time around, you wont!

Did Heather Locklear’s return to Melrose Place save a show in trouble with the ratings as of late? Maybe, but not so much. Ms. Woodward’s return to town showed a 14% rise in viewership from last weeks episode, at around 1.5 million viewers, but that’s still pretty low compared to the networks hit shows, Gossip Girl, and The Vampire Diaries. Will it pick up?  Or is Melrose likely to be one and done? What do you guys think of the first season?

Huge ratings for E! Huge ratings for the Kardashians, and huge ratings for Ryan Seacrest. The seacrest produced Keeping Up With the Kardashians 2 Hour wedding special brought in the networks highest ratings ever! Just over 3 million people tuned into the wedding special, which is more than double than last seasons premiere episode! Huge for Khloe and Lamar, who could potentially end up with their own show eventually.

The ratings have been horrid to put it in a nice way, but DVRs could be Melrose Place’s saving grace. In it’s premiere season, Melrose is only averaging about a million and some change, with it’s numbers decreasing each week since the beginning of the season, but once DVR totals are figured in, the CW is seeing the highest +7 numbers of any other network. +7 is how many times a show is watched on DVR within 7 days of it’s original air date. Same story for 90210 as well. ...
