Tours that is! In just a matter of minutes of going on sale, Katy Perry sold out multiple shows in New York, New Jersey, and Los Angeles this week. Her two shows at the Nokia LA Live sold out so fast that there are talks of adding a third. This is a huge feat! Looks like it’s going to be a successful tour for KP!

Lady Gaga’s Fame Monster has become the highest selling album of 2010! Her second album sold 5.8 million copies this year, beating out the competition to take the high honor of the music business. This comes right as she prepares to release a new album, Born This Way, in 2011, which we have a feeling will compete for the same honor! Congrats!

Even when it’s not Twilight season, Twilight is HUGE! Eclipse was released on DVD last friday night at midnight, and sold three million copies in the first two days! Their competitors didn’t even sell 30% of that amount! We bet a lot of kids are going to be having a Cullen-filled Christmas this year!

Eminem Tops 750,000 in First Week

As if there was any doubt, Eminem came in at #1 in record sales for last week. Em dominated the competition with his latest album, Recovery, selling at total of 753,000 copies! Not bad for leaking a week early! Miley Cyrus on the other hand, only sold a handful of albums compared to Eminem, with 106,000 sold. Congrats Slim!

Strange as it may seem, Eminem has came out on top this decade as the number one selling artist! Eminem edged out  The Beatles by about 2.2 million albums as he rounds out the past 10 years with 32.2 million albums sold. The Beatles’ hits compilation 1 sold more albums than any other at 11.5 million, but Eminem had 2 albums in the top 10, which helped him to claim his number one spot in overall sales.
