But don’t fear twilighters, there’s a rumor going around that Robert Pattinson is going to be presenting an award at this weeks awards show. Twilight has been selling t-shirts, posters, and many other products since the hype for the movie started, but now Hot Topic has released a scent inspired by the movie. It comes in an apple shaped bottle and is going to be on every Bella fan’s shopping list.  It won’t come cheap though! Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke will NOT be returning to direct New Moon, the sequel to this years vampire romance thriller, Twilight. Because the studio is pushing forward with the movie to give it a 2009 release. Apparently Hardwicke has better things to do. No, but for real she was not expecting such a march forward approach with the movie only three weeks in and had other things lined up already. Twilight’s $70.6 million dollar weekend was the highest grossing film ever by a female director. The film was directed by Catherine Hardwick and due to the instant success of the first film, a second film for the next book in the series titled ‘New Moon’ has already been given the green light. Both of the films stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart will headline the second film as well.

Preliminary reports will suggest that Twilight is going to make some mega bucks this weekend! After an estimated $33 million on just friday alone, between midnight showings and the entinre day, film industry big wigs suggest that the films weekend total could easily top $70 million. If those numbers pan out, the film would be guesstimated to make between $125 and $150 million in it’s box office run. Not to bad for a breakout role.
