America Ferrera’s rep confirmed today that the ‘Ugly Betty’ actress is engaged to her long time squeeze, Ryan Piers Williams. Ferrera showed up to an event last night sporting a diamond rock, leading to the speculation that was later confirmed by her camp. America Ferrera may not be out of a job for too long.  Though her TV show, Ugly Betty has ended, she may get one last hurrah as Betty Suarez. It isn’t getting any prettier for Betty Suarez and co.  Since getting the Friday night shank, Ugly Betty ratings have been slipping week after week. Only 4.5 million people are watching!  Down about a half million viewers from last week. This seems like the beginning of the end.  Enjoy it while it lasts Betty fans!

The Friday night death sentence may be flat lining another show you used to love in the new future. Ugly Betty got the switch for their most recent season, which premiered this Friday night on NBC, and ended up in 8th place in it’s time slot. Still, it pulled in  about 5 million viewers, but it’s nearly half of the amount they brought in for last seasons premiere.
