Though a news story about a Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens breakup, or a story about them moving in together happens about once a week, the latest was that Zac had picked out a ring and asked her to marry him. Like the rest, it’s untrue. Sorry theater kiddies, Hairspray 2 is NOT happening! Though alot of you probably were dreading the sequel, John Waters was writing a script until the studio came along and canned the project. Director Adam Shankman confirmed the news to the press: “I’m going to kill that rumor now – that got killed. I was so happy with the first one, let’s leave well enough alone. It’s all good.” It’s probably a good thing.  We’re sure Zac Efron can find a job elsewhere…

Zac Efron has landed a big boy role! The once Disney musical star is set to star in Warner Bros. remake of a Swedish film titled Snabba cash. Efron would play the lead in the film,  a young financial savant who hopes to strike it rich quick when he becomes a runner for a coke dealer. It’s also being thrown around that he will produce the film, under a new company he started with his manager. Sounds pretty good!
