It wasn’t a good wee for marriage for Katy Perry, or people who look a little bit similar to Katy Perry. New Girl star Zooey Deschanel has filed for divorce from husband Ben Gibbard. The couple split back in October, but made it official right after Christmas on December 27, when she filed for divorce. Deschanel cited “irreconcilable differences” in the filings. The end of 2011 was not good for A LOT of celebs.

She may have not been the actual center of a sextape scandal, but now Zooey Deschanel is waging a legal battle against shoe designer Steve Madden. The actress is claiming that the company screwed her out of an endorsement deal that she made with them in August of this year. According to the legal docs, a deal was made for 2 million dollars, but when the retailers wouldn’t pony up that type of money, they renegotiated for 1.5 which she was never paid.
