FABOLOUS HAS FIRST #1 ALBUM OF HIS CAREER!!

Loso’s Way, the fifth album from Fabolous, the rapper who says, “Maybe cuz I’m eatin’, and these bastards fiend for my grub / I carry pumps like I serve gasoline for these scrubs / they’ve seen my Aston leanin’ on dubs / And they can’t afford chrome, so they puttin’ Vaseline on they hubs” bowed at #1 this week. Who cares that his first two albums, released in 2001 and 2003, are his best, and that a Loso album always pales in comparison to the fire he breathes on mixtapes? Kid finally sits atop the charts where he belongs! Street Fidda-didda-damn! (That’s something Fabolous says.)
Technically, Michael Jackson sold more copies, but albums over 18 months old are ineligible for the Billboard 200 and are instead listed on the “Comprehensive Albums” chart, where catalog dreck like Metallica’s Black album, Bob Marley’s greatest hits and Pink Floyd live.
Rounding out the top five, Daughtry is keeping the rawk alive at #2, Maxwell’s BLACKsummers’night sits at #3 (but it would be a surefire #1 should Billboard ever rank in order of worst titles), the industry-killing Now That’s What I Call Music 31 is at #4 and the Black Eyed Peas (roll your eyes all you want, the single is good) are at #5.
