Michael Jackson’s Posthumous Concert Film Set for Appropriate Release Near Halloween

Michael Jackson‘s people are keeping the spirit of his Facebook page alive by putting new notes on it. This one has 7,812 “likes” as of this writing. The most I ever got was 9. (It was when I posted “thank God we still have Gary Glitter” 20 minutes after Michael passed away.)
On October 30th, Sony Pictures Entertainment and Sony Music Entertainment (both subsidiaries of Sony Alarm Clocks) will release This Is It, a concert film culled from the hundreds of hours of rehearsal footage shot as Michael prepared for his ill-fated comeback concert series in England. The film will also feature select scenes in 3-D, so if you missed Captain EO, here’s your chance to see something I can almost promise won’t be as good. (I’m not hating on Michael; I’m loving on that old, ridiculous, really fun Disneyland attraction.)
