Vampire Weekend Show You How a Rancid Song Would Sound If It Were Written and Performed by Women

I say this as someone who likes almost every song on their debut, but am I the only person on planet Earth who thinks “Cousins” is the ONLY good song on the new Vampire Weekend album? I mean, jeez, that one with the chorus where Ezra just makes whale sounds? Get out of here. This from the people who brought us “Campus.” That’s why I was so excited to see that Vampire Weekend covered Rancid’s “Ruby SoHo”: if I can’t get a new song I like by a band I like, at least they can cover a song I like by another band, but yeesh, swing and a miss. Strike two. Even the guy who uploaded it to YouTube wrote, “This is a little video I put together, it’s Vampire Weekend performing a cover of Rancid’s ‘Ruby Soho’ on Radio 1’s Live Lounge, enjoy! As Rancid are one of my favourite bands, I hate it, so this is just for people who are interested.”
