It’s all strange with this guy these days, and in the latest turn of events, the best character on MTV’s The Hills, is leaving the show!!

Spencer Pratt, whom is known by the shows fans as one of the biggest fame whores out there, has decided to step out of the spotlight in order to pursue his career in fighting cyber crime.

He tells People magazine;

“Upon learning of President Obama’s declaration that the ‘cyber threat is one of the most serious economic and national security challenges we face as a nation,’ I have decided to refocus my energy and devote my full resources to helping America face this and other unprecedented challenges.

My new mission is this: To do my part in maintaining the technological superiority of the U.S. military and prevent emerging technologies from threatening our nation’s security.

With that being said, I am saddened to take this break from filming MTV’s The Hills. At this time, however I feel I would not be honoring my country or myself if I were to continue this endeavor when I have the opportunity and the ability to assist our nation against these prevalent threats.”

*Update* A conflicting report from Us Magazine may suggest that something a bit more serious happend!
A source tells the mag, that Pratt is NOT quitting the show, but was asked to leave for six weeks, after he flipped out on a producer.
The source claims; After a producer asked Pratt to do something which he objected ;“He got so crazy that he screamed at [her], ‘I should kill you for even asking me to do that!'” the source recounts.The producer reportedly then filed a complaint with some top execs at MTV, which they decided he would take six weeks off, attend anger management class once a week at home, and if he was able to change his behavior he could come back.

So many it’s his decision to leave the show after being asked to leave.

PrattĀ  is currently studying software engineering with a focus on encryption at USC.
