The video has been viewed 33 million times on YouTube, which is even about eleven million more views than the video for Lady Gaga’s ‘Born This Way.’
13-year-old Rebecca Black’s mom paid a recording studio in Los Angeles $2,000 to record the track, which has been downloaded an estimated two-million times on iTunes so far. iTunes pays about 70 cents per download, which will cause for Black to surpass the $1 million mark in earnings, according to Forbes via The Hollywood Reporter.
So why would two million people pay for a bad song? Because it only costs one dollar, and something funny is worth a buck!
